Shabbat School
Your children are welcome at Congregation Zera Avraham. We provide
child-care for ages six-months to pre-school, and hold Shabbat school classes for
school-aged children up through their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. From kindergarten up, our
children study Hebrew, learning to read, write and practice conversational
Hebrew. They lead the congregation each week in the Kiddush liturgy.
Our younger class, Ketah Bet, participates in interactive lessons dealing with
the Bible, Jewish traditions and holidays. Our older class, Ketah Aleph,
studies both Tanach and Brit Chadasha, and enjoys lively debates related to scripture
and midrash.
Our children are proud of their rich Messianic Jewish heritage. We hope to
prepare them to enter fully into the life of the congregation as they become a
Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Our Shabbat School helps to form and instruct them in the
rich life given us by HaShem, through our Mashiach Yeshua.
